Its been awhile! We have been busy as usual. We had a great Thanksgiving and are enjoying celebrating Advent and waiting for Christmas!

Justin had a great first birthday! He is our sweet and happy little boy. It will be fun to watch him grow over the next year!

We headed out Saturday morning for haircuts! This was Justin's first one! He did great.

And we're back! Things are going at warp speed around here. Between me going back to work and our internet being out I've neglected our blog! Here are a few pictures of the boys.

9 month check-up

Justin had a great check-up today. He weights 21 lbs, 6 oz (61%) and is 29 1/2 inches tall (83%). The only trouble we are having is with his sleeping. The doctor gave us some suggestions so we'll see if any of those will help. Looks like he will be getting his 2 top teeth soon. Watch out next time he goes in for a kiss ~ You might get a bite!

Children's Museum Visit

We had a big day out for Justin's 9 month birthday! The Children's museum! Thanks to Sarah for inviting us and for getting us in on her family pass. :) We had a great time! I managed to snap some pictures at the secret dinosaur table! Otherwise it was too busy and crowded. Justin loved watching Zach and Gideon play. He was doing a good job of getting into the action himself. I didn't get a picture of Gideon, but Sarah I do want to see that one of me and him in the dinosaur nest!

Boys

I gave the boys their first bath together awhile back. And no, I haven't done it since! :) But it was pretty cute. This little one takes some funny pictures!

This past week my sister was nice enough to road trip us up to Crown Point to see one of my friends who was in town from NC. We each have 2 boys so it was fun to see all of them interact. They are all so cute! This was the best picture I got of all of them together. I'm sure Zach is 'scratching' his nose and not picking it! ;).

Bathroom humor

Zachary has been doing a great job with his potty training. We have been diaper free during the day for over 2 months! Mike and I are very impressed with him. You of course need a sense of humor about you when your 3 year old starts to use the potty by himself. Zachary does his own part to keep you laughing. Here are some things he has recently said while in the bathroom.

Zach always kicks his shorts and underpants off when sitting on the toilet even though I repeatedly ask him not to! One day his feet got caught up in underpants as he was kicking and he says to me "Mommy , my underpants are being silly!"

After finishing up on the potty he randomly starts singing "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands." A few verses into it he changes the "action" of the song...

If you're happy and you know it wipe your bottom. I had to giggle!

This last one doesn't have to do with the potty, but it is funny :)
The boys had their first bath together last week. When I sat Justin down next to Zach he says "Look mom, he has a pea-nut just like me." Ha! Yes, that is what he calls it. Or what he thinks we are saying. We'll have to correct him eventually, but for now it's funny ;)

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy 30 something birthday to Mike! His first present this morning was that they boys slept in and he got some quiet time. I totally planned that ;). We celebrated with presents and cupcakes today and tomorrow we are going out for a date night! yay. Happy Birthday honey! We love you!

8 months!!

Our little guy is 8 months old today. He is doing amazing things! He says 'da-da', 'ma-ma' and 'za'. Most of the time it is babble. But sometimes they are directed at the correct person. Especially the 'za' for Zach. This kid is in love with his big brother! He also is trying to wave, or at least I think he is. Justin is having fun exploring the house. He has already knocked the dog's water dish over and found all the fun things in the pantry. He is a quick one too. I can hardly keep up with these two!
