Chatter Box

Zach is really starting to chat it up. He seems so serious in what he is saying to you. Its very cute. He also holds up his hand while he 'talks' which makes him seem like he is lecturing or something. :) I snapped this picture and it looks like he is reading to you or maybe singing in a choir. This weekend at mass, after the first reading he started 'talking' then clapped. Apparently he is a fan of the book of Isaiah.

9 month checkup

Zachary had his 9 month doctor visit today. He is doing great. He weighs 21 pounds 8 ounces and is 30 inches tall. He is in the 90% percentile for height. So I do have a good reason why all his pants are too short!

I was playing with my camera and all its settings today as I am attempting to become a better picture taker. So of course I was clicking shots of my favorite little boy. He was more interested in getting the camera than being in the pictures. I snapped this one in the 'macro' mode. Turned out nice don't you think?!

Ouch!

Last Monday my mom called and told us that she broke her ankle! Ouch. The bizarre thing is that she doesn't remember how. My dad found her on the floor next to her bed Monday morning and she realized that her ankle hurt. One ER trip later and they confirmed it was broken. She had surgery and now has a plate and screws in her ankle. It is about as broken as it can get! So Zach and I went up Wednesday for some emergency TLC for her. Zach was great entertainment and a great distraction from the whole situation. She will be out of commission for awhile but please everyone say a prayer for a quick recovery. I think she is going to have a serious case of cabin fever by the time this is all over!

Zach is going for his 9 month checkup on Thursday. His new favorite thing is clapping. Sometimes he claps when I sing to him. He sure knows how to make his mommy feel good!

Birthday Weekend

Our weekend was filled with birthdays! We celebrated Madeleine's first birthday at the Hanson's on Saturday. Happy Birthday Maddie!

And on Sunday we celebrated Tom's birthday!
