My grandma passed away on Friday, January 18th. We traveled to the St. Louis suburbs for her funeral on Sunday. We did our best to let the boys know what had happened and what we would be doing that weekend. At the funeral home, a few minutes after Justin came into the room for the viewing he asked Mike and I each seperately about the angels around great-grandma. I asked him questions about it and he had very specific answers like they were "white" and they were "laying down" all around her. I wanted to record something on video before he perhaps forgot what he saw and mainly so my mom could hear him tell the story. Praise God for giving this sweet boy a vision to help comfort us in our time of grief.
ps- When I asked Justin about what they were wearing the day before, he told me they had wings. I was trying to get him to say that again, but it didn't quite work.

A trip to the zoo
A few pictures of our trip to the zoo Monday.
This picture is a bit blurry, but still so cute!
Checking out the penguins
This is a rare smiling picture from Justin. (He will smile, but never stands still long enough to actually get the picture) This one was by accident. I gave up trying to get his picture and was hoping for a cute profile shot. He turned his head and smiled at the perfect time!
We are touching sharks!!
ps - I am reminded everytime I post something why I don't do this more often. It is almost impossible with any of the kids around!

Hello?
Is anyone there? :) The blog has been on the back burner for awhile. We have had quite the year. On February 18th I woke up 28 weeks pregnant. When I went to sleep that night, I wasn't. Our sweet little Adele Marie was born 12 weeks premature. She spent 75 days in the hospital and with a tremendous amount of help from our family, friends and by the grace of God she went from this:
(2 lbs 11oz)

Pants!!
For the first time since 8th grade home economics class I made something on a sewing machine! whee! Thanks to my mom for letting me borrow her sewing machine and thanks to the videos on you tube that walked me through it! They turned out pretty good. I learned some lessons for next time. I have material to make Justin a pair too. Zach was pretty excited about his new pants and put them on as soon as he saw them!

Brothers
Cute boys! Cute boys who need haircuts :) I had to snap a picture of them in their matching jammies. Also I wanted to get a picture of Zach in footie pj's before he is too big for them! Justin turned 15 months old in January! He is doing great and keeping up with whatever his big brother is doing. He had a good doctor's visit. He weighed 26 pounds and was about 32 inches tall. He is starting to say some words clearly. Mama, dada, no, da (yes), uh-oh, bye bye and possibly a word for Zach that sounds somewhat like Zah. He has started to wrestle with Zach and enjoys every minute of it. These two are going to be a handful! (ok, they already are!)
